HexaPath Outdoors is a brand that resonates with young urban professionals who lead an active outdoor lifestyle. This brand symbolizes the fusion of adventure and style, catering to educated, environmentally conscious individuals aged 23 to 38. HexaPath Outdoors enthusiasts are committed to outdoor activities like hiking, walking, and biking, frequently embracing the natural world several times a week. Annually, they embark on at least one extended adventure in remote provincial parks, seeking to immerse themselves in the tranquility and beauty of unspoiled landscapes. The brand's apparel and gear blend sophistication with functionality, crafted to endure the challenges of both local and remote wild environments. With an aesthetic that combines athletic appeal with urban chic, HexaPath Outdoors appeals to a dedicated customer base that values high-quality, durable outdoor equipment. This gear not only supports their active and health-conscious lifestyle but also their desire to explore the great outdoors in style.
The Retail Installation showcases various abilities and alternate encounters, which were thoughtfully developed through extensive time and effort. To activate four promotional motion graphic videos on a large screen, a QR code must be scanned. Additionally, three supplementary stations are available: an interactive catalog, a rotating product display, and a touchscreen ordering station. For each of these stations, motion graphics screensavers were designed and included instructions on how to utilize them.
Interactive Catalogue Installation
The interactive catalogue station offers an animated interface with prominently displayed products and concise information about their collections. It uses instructional animations to explain operational procedures. When users pick up a product, a light sensor on the tabletop activates a catalog-style presentation. Users can access specific information by interacting with an overhead button near the product's original placement. This innovative approach enhances user engagement and fosters a stronger connection between individuals and showcased products and affiliated stores.
Rotating Product station
The rotation product station is an interactive display that showcases a stylish product and provides concise product information. Customers interact with the station using a gesture controller, which rotates the product with a swipe. A vertical hand gesture allows access to product highlight screens, providing more comprehensive information. This innovative station uses contemporary gesture technology to maintain user engagement and excitement, delivering a superior shopping experience. It combines technology and product presentation to effectively captivate and inform customers.
Touchscreen Ordering Station

Motion Graphics Video
This is an engaging experience that combines three promotional videos into one, showcasing the brand and its main products available in-store. The video is on a continuous loop and is designed to capture the potential customer's attention and encourage them to try the other stations. It features a real-life user interacting with the products. This video can be projected onto a surface using a short-throw projector, which requires less space. Another feature of this station is the QR code scanning. It is an interactive experience that allows the user to scan one of three QR codes to watch a corresponding video. Prior to scanning any codes, a simple branding video will be displayed continuously.

HexaPath Outdoors presents an inventive Retail Installation comprising several interactive modules that redefine the customer shopping journey. This experience includes an animated catalog station, a rotating product showcase, and an intuitive touchscreen ordering platform. The animated catalog station is a fusion of physical interaction and digital animation, activated by light sensors upon contact with physical products, offering a modern twist to browsing catalogs. The rotating product station leverages gesture-controlled technology, presenting a 360-degree view of the products and enabling an augmented reality experience that highlights their distinctive attributes. The touchscreen ordering station, akin to systems found in fast food chains for their familiarity and ease of use, allows customers to peruse and select HexaPath Outdoors apparel, virtually try them on, and proceed to checkout with a printed receipt.
The Retail Installation is brought to life through dynamic visuals and animations, intricately crafted with Adobe After Effects to produce compelling video content that guides users with clarity. Illustrations created with Illustrator and Photoshop are seamlessly integrated into the installation, providing a consistent and engaging visual language throughout. The incorporation of GSAP animations meticulously enhances each element, ensuring a captivating and interactive experience for users. The challenge of melding these diverse components into a cohesive Retail Installation required a careful balance of aesthetic appeal and functional design, ultimately resulting in an immersive shopping environment that elevates HexaPath Outdoors' brand presence.
